Bodies Parting

Torn to shreds this hopeful dream,
We nurtured. It would seem,
What was healthy was not enough
The last of love was so devastatingly rough
It ripped through the fabric of us
Its umber blood began to gush
Staining us with its final blow
Drowning us with its swollen flow

How I wish it had been gentle
With playful kissing, so accidental
So natural, so tender, so sweet
It seems a better last way to meet.

Tragedy Technasma

Corinthian Columns combine Doric and Ionic
Man and Machine make something bionic
Some excellent drinks mix Gin and Tonic
But you and me made an ache so chronic
It’s Demonic

The Glass Heart

This Glass Heart once rang true
This crystal chimer had a lighter hue
Now the cracks from so many breaks
Its sonorous joyful timbre takes

Is it near its very end?
This once transparent, musical friend
So many times has it been glued,
Back together. Its melody subdued

The fragments are now very small
Fainter than the pin head’s fall
It’s sides like sand slowly filter out
The love and passion it held devout

It is whole but only just
Kindness and tenderness are a must
For it to survive the arduous way
Of life’s intensity seeking, heaving way.
