Italy scape 1

I swept the cobwebs off the sea skin
And paid one diamond earring to the Mediterranean
It glittered in its newly polished surface
And sank like the rock it is

I floated on the waves
Lapping against squares paved with sun
My skin cried salty tears, my heart leapt in my chest
but my mind was very, very still

Good to hear from you again. Sounds like you've been enjoying the sights and sounds of Europe. We're on holiday right now in France.

You should have said you were in London. We could have met up for a coffee or something. We now live in London! We're only back for a week, though, then we're off to Norway for a cruise (during which I have to perfrom poems to children) then we're going to be busy selling our country house.

maybe when we visit India...

Lovely poem, by the way.
